Guangdong Univ. of Tech. Publishes in Nature Communications: Oriented Water Configuration Resolves PEM Catalyst Trade-off

Prof. Yu Lin's team at Guangdong University of Technology, with Huazhong University of Science and Technology and Hainan University, published in Nature Communications, proposing an "oriented water molecular configuration" strategy that reduces the OER barrier from 2.02 eV to 0.85 eV and runs stably for over 720 h at 1 A/cm² in a PEM cell.

Tianjin University Publishes in Science: Transient Assembly Achieves Minute-Scale Precision Synthesis of Platinum-Group Catalysts

Prof. Hu Wenbin's team at Tianjin University published in Science a transient-assembly strategy that uses millisecond-period heat pulses to achieve ultra-fast synthesis and atomic-level precise control of platinum-group core-shell catalysts, shortening a traditional multi-hour process to minutes and cutting energy use by 90%. The resulting catalyst shows 16× the mass activity of commercial Pt/C with only 3.2% decay after 30,000 cycles.
